When it comes to uniforms, there's nothing more constant than Auburn and LSU. Every single match-up since 1995 has been the same white-vs-blue look we've become accustomed to. The play on-field has also been constant, regardless of either team's record. The Battle of the Tigers is just a few days away.

After a tough, grind-it-out win Thursday night on the road in Kansas, the Auburn Tigers head home for Homecoming versus the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech. These two teams have met twelve times over their history, with the first meeting being a 34-0 win for Auburn in 1941. Actually, Auburn leads the series 11-0-1, with the lone good finish for LaTech coming in 1948, with a score of 13-13. This game has been played four times since 2000, with the latest game being in 2009.

In a new world in which the uniform aspect of athletics has taken on a whole new level of attention, there are two basic types of teams. Teams have made a living and reputation in constantly making changes to their uniforms, trying to push the envelope of uniform design, technology, and ultimately attention they can garner. Then there are the teams that stay true to their history and rarely, if never, change their uniform designs. Just through the sheer amount of teams that belong to the former of the groups, it's pretty uncommon that we get a match up of two traditional looking teams that don't play each other on a regular basis. Kansas State and Auburn meet up in Manhattan this Thursday night in what very well could be the best looking game of the week.

[Editor's note: Today we have a guest entry from Nathan Deal, a former Stadium Journey contributor, who will rank the college football stadiums around the country. Nathan will rank the stadiums in an overall list, taking in many different criteria. I don't want to spoil too much, so I'll turn it over to him now -Clint]
College Football stadiums come in many different sizes, shapes and locations. Some are filled with passionate fans, some resemble a Halloween party if everyone came dressed as a bleacher. Some stadiums are beautiful, inside and out. Some stadiums are ugly. Some stadiums are really ugly. Fortunately, this list is absent of ugly stadiums (unless you consider beauty and prestige ugly.)
I should note that these stadiums are judged by the gameday atmosphere for their home team, as well as stadium quality and other factors. If it were just the stadiums themselves, the Rose Bowl would easily be at the top. However, UCLA is the Rose Bowl’s home team, and atmospheres at UCLA Football games are average in the Pac-12.
Without further adu, here are the top 25 stadiums in the beautiful sport of college football.

As soon as the ball is kicked off this Saturday, history will be made - Auburn and San Jose State will be playing on the gridiron for the very first time in the two school's history. In fact, San Jose State has only played a school from Alabama once, a 48-3 loss to Alabama in 2010.
